A woman’s body is meant to birth babies and a women who choose natural birth should be praised for her accomplishment. Alyson believes that the woman is in control of her own body and supports, encourages and guides her in her efforts. Alyson has had the opportunity to attend many variations of normal birth and the not so normal.

Choosing the Midwife That’s Right for You
Midwifery care is very personal and a woman needs to feel completely comfortable with her care provider. Knowing your providers skill levels, protocols and emergencies plans are also important. Lastly, know what it is that you want from your provider and don’t hesitate to tell them what you need.
